Why Digitize Scrapbook Pages?

Scrapbook pages are often one-of-a-kind family keepsakes that combine photographs, notes, clippings, decorations, and personal layouts that cannot easily be recreated once damaged. Scrapbook scanning helps preserve the full page design before fading, tearing, adhesive failure, or handling damage occurs.

Once scanned, scrapbook pages are easier to back up, share with family, and revisit without repeatedly handling the originals. This makes scrapbook digitizing a powerful way to preserve family history and creative memory books.

This Service Is Ideal For

Important Service Notes

Loose or Easily Removable Pages Preferred

Removable pages allow for more efficient handling and typically produce the most consistent scan results. If pages cannot be removed from the album, we will scan the scrapbook while it remains intact. There is no additional cost for scanning bound scrapbooks. However, depending on the album’s binding style, the finished scans may show minor page curvature, edge shadowing, or reduced visibility near the inner spine. These characteristics are a natural limitation when scanning bound albums and do not affect the overall preservation of the scrapbook content.

No Color Correction or Digital Restoration Included

This service focuses on preservation scanning. Color correction and digital restoration are not included.

Possible Additional Fees

Sleeve Removal

An additional fee of $0.50 per page applies if pages must be removed from plastic sleeves or protective covers before scanning.

Album Page Removal and Replacement

A $2 fee per page applies for removal and replacement of pages in a scrapbook album. There is no fee for pages already outside the cover or album.

Turnaround Time

Most scrapbook scanning orders are completed in approximately 10 business days after your items arrive at our facility. More complex orders may require additional processing time.

Scrapbook Page Thickness & Raised Elements

Scrapbook pages often contain layered decorations, raised embellishments, memorabilia, and other dimensional elements. Because these materials extend above the page surface, they may create natural shadows, focus variations, or slight distortions when scanned.

These characteristics are a normal result of digitizing dimensional scrapbook pages and do not affect the preservation of the page content.

Our goal is to accurately capture each scrapbook page as it exists while maintaining safe handling of the original album.
